Time to re-energize after the holidays? It’s like needing a vacation from your vacation, right? Yikes. And, oh, this is such a real thing! The truth is, the holiday season that you just celebrated in whatever ways can be intense. Family, friends, gifts, rituals, messy people, neat freaks, old issues, new plot twists… it’s often, well, a lot. Whew.

And you no doubt did your part to try to make the season a beautiful one. This busy life coach can relate. For all the work/life balance we may seek to create, the holidays can tip the scale big-time. Time to tip it back toward a workable middle. Gotta re-energize.
So… this is now
Now, back in “ordinary time”, at work, at home, at school, you may be feeling just how much life force you expended in the process. As you set this important goal to truly re-energize after the holidays, it’s time for some smart strategies to put the zest back in your step while you prep to make the most of all the natural motivation that the New Year brings.
Toward that end and a strong start this year, check out these four simple strategies for re-grouping energetically:
- Build in some moments of down time. Really. Do it. Maybe we “over-did” during the holidays, not so much because this one and that one needed and expected it, but rather because we’re just accustomed to doing too much. So it’s time now to truly chill when possible. No next thing queued up 24 and 7. Time for self-care, and time to play. For real.
